读后续写———动作描写三部曲
读后续写我感觉一直是学生们的心头大患,很多同学在写读后续写时都会有这样一个感受:读后学写的情节建构往往并不复杂,有的时候甚至一两句话就能把情节交代清楚,这也就导致很多同学在实际写作中无话可写,那么大两段怎么都凑不满。那么,怎样才能把简单的情节拓展开来,让描述生动起来呢?其实关键就在于动作描写和情绪描写细节的刻画。珍珍老师接下来给大家介绍一些让动作描写生动起来的方法。
读后续写中,我们通过动作的细节描写来推动故事情节的发展,塑造人物形象、性格,但不是没有针对性地对所有动作都进行描写,要选择最能刻画人物性格或者最能刻画人物性格的动作来进行刻画。以下动作描写三部曲能够帮助你更好地完成动作的细节描写。
一、精选动词,精准描述
在动作描写过程中常出现的一个问题是用通用词汇去代替具体词汇,而做不到精准描述,比如“说”,学生会用say,在对话中反复出现,读者则完全感受不到说话的语气、嗓音、声调等,解决方法就是做到精准用词,使用具体词汇去代替通用词汇。以“说”的动作为例:
1. 小男孩垂着头,咕哝着向他母亲道歉。
The little boy hung his head and mumbled an apology to his mother.
2. 与此同时,狼也注意到了他们,恶狠狠地转过头,对保罗和贝基大声喊叫。
At the same time, the wolf also noticed them andfiercely turned its head back, shouting loudly at Paul and Becky.
3. 罗斯温和地责骂那孩子淘气。
Rose scolded the child gently for being naughty.
4. 她抚摸着他的头发,喃喃地说:“别担心。你会没事的。”
She stroked his hair and murmured, "Don't worry. You'll be all right."
其他的说:
补充道add,继续说continue,反驳说retort,解释说explain,陈述道state,抗议道protest,哭诉道sob,同意说agree,安慰说comfort,坚持说insist,自言自语say to oneself,顶嘴talk back,批评说criticize,纠正说correct,命令command/order,呻吟groan,提示说prompt
二、添加修饰成分,做到生动描写
1.可以添加介词短语或者副词来修饰动词。
①with+情感名词的搭配:
她笑了,眼睛里闪着兴奋的光芒。
She laughed, her eyes shining with excitement.
②with+身体部位
她高兴地唱着歌,用天真的大眼睛注视着周围的环境。
Singing happily, she gazed at her surroundings with large, innocent eyes.
③in+名词
他惊恐地尖叫着,跳了起来,试图离开这里。
Screaming in great terror, he jumped to his feet and tried to get out of here.
④副词
我坐在那里,默默地哭泣。
I sat there, silently sobbing.
2.在动作描写中也可以运用明喻、暗喻、拟人、夸张等写作手法,让你的写作更加生动传神。
①She howled long and loud like a fierce wolf and then jumped at Buck.
此句把她比作凶残的恶狼,用到了明喻的写作手法,使整句的动作描写更有力度,更有画面感。
②She went home in a flood of tears.
此处在动作描写中添加了夸张描写,生动传神地体现她当时的情感状态。
三、分解动作,形成动作链或者动作面
同学们要学会分解动作,形成一个完成的动作链或动作面,使描写丰富和生动起来。动作链或者动作面的形式有哪些呢?
1.动作链的表达可用状语从句,如when, while, as, before, after引导的时间状语从句。
当她听到这个坏消息时,泪流如河。
When she heard the bad news, a river of tears poured out.
2.动作链的表达可用并列谓语动词来体现
她沿着小路蹑手蹑脚地走着,迅速弯下腰,用手轻轻地捧着蝴蝶。
She crept along the path, bent over swiftly and cupped her hands around the butterfly gently.
3.动作链的表达可用非谓语来体现。
眼睛微微眯起,她对我讲的故事很感兴趣,暗示我从头到尾把这个故事讲清楚。
(With) Eyes narrowing with great interests, she suggested that I told the story in details.
4.动作面的刻画需要把动作描写与神态、心理、情绪、语言等描写结合起来,构造生动的画面。
①赶车:我跑下站台,疯狂地挥舞着双手,大喊:“停,停。”但火车发出汽笛,开走了。
I raced down the platform, wildly waving my hands, and yelling, “Stop, stop,” but the train
let out a whistle and traveled away.
②痛苦:难以置信地摇了摇头,他痛苦呻吟着,用双手捂住了脸。
Shaking head in disbelief, he groaned in pain and buried his face in his hands.
③激动:站在那里,他的嘴唇动了动,眼睛里充满了泪水,双手颤抖着。
Standing there, his lips moved and his eyes were filled with tears with his hands trembling.
④跳水救人:Henry jumped into the river and saved Robert.
Hearing the screams, Henry dashed/rushed/ran to the riverside, threw off his clothes and jumped into the water without hesitation. He reached Robert just as he was sinking the last time. By great effort, and with much danger to himself, he brought/dragged Robert to the shore.
